Dick Patrick

Dick has been a fixture in the island real estate market since 1979. He is known for his straightforward approach and diligent representation on behalf of his clients ... be they buyers or sellers. Thats the reason why he was voted by his peers as Realtor® of the Year in 1997. On a personal note, Dick was born in Atlanta where he worked for a large insurance brokerage firm until his movie to Hilton Head in 1976. He has been married to Pati for 43 years (she must be a Saint to put up with a Realtor®s life for that long), and they have 2 married daughters who grew up on the Island ... Christie, a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, is a physical therapist in Charleston, and Valerie, a graduate of Wake Forest University and Washington University in St. Louis, is an Occupational Therapist in Mebane, North Carolina. The Patrick
household rounds out with Dicks third child ... Sea Biscuit... a fuzzy Coton de Tulear who is even friendlier than Dick.  Sea Biscuit rules the roost and is treated like royalty. Many who know Dick say they would love to come back in another life as his dog. Dick and his family are avid sailors and enjoy traveling, hiking, and skiing. Being spherically challenged since birth, Dick has mastered the art of talking about sports with a ball but wisely avoids participating.

Professionally, Dick has a business degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta. Locally, he has been active on a number of local boards including Hilton Head Hospital, Hilton Head Plantation Property Owners Association, and the Hilton Head Island Association of Realtors and Habitat for Humanity. Presently, he is serving on the Board of Governors of the South Carolina Yacht Club, Windmill Harbour Marina Board, and the Board of the Hilton Head Island MLS.

 

Dick has specialized in selling properties in the Hilton Head area for over 30 years and regularly ranks as one of the Top 10 Realtors® on the island in sales volume.
